The first jingle package for Southern Sound was by David Arnold with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Like many other tunes by David Arnold, this is quite amazing. The full weather bed is included with the news jingles. This is probably the first time it's been heard without anyone talking over it! The travel bed is tagged on the end of the main themes. Some shorter versions of the theme are now on production music CDs so you may hear it again in the background of commercials on TV and radio stations.

The sound files of commercials include: Frosts Of Shoreham The Choice That's Right, Everley Kitchens, Mile Oak Garage (using a resing of a very old Picadilly Radio jingle), PDH, Russell Bourne Kitchens etc

Some of Timbo's jingles were by a group called the Backroom Boys. One night they were invited in to perform live on air at Mercury. This may have been on a rare occasion when Mercury and Southern were carrying different programmes for the evening. Their songs have been edited down to speed up the download time.

The original theme and news jingles were used along side some new "Sound of Success" cuts from 1985 - 1987. The full package is included above which includes a few jingles that were never aired.

Sean Bolger left Southern Sound around 1987 to go and work in Gibralter. For the last Sean On Saturday programme, Sean invited fans along to Radio House in Portslade and presented the show from the foyer:
